It's chilly this morning, but it is supposed to warm up. I am going to spend the day with Anne and later in the evening Anne, the girls and I are going out for Sushi.
I enjoyed a couple cups of coffee and then headed over to Anne's. My bike is still in the truck. When I got there I unloaded the bike and put Bella's basket on.
We rode our bikes down to the Charles River to a bridge where we would meet up with Dan and watch for Lauren's team.
Dan is working at his Rowing Club's VIP tent. He met us and we walked down to a spot at the edge of the river and waited for Lauren. They looked awesome when they came by. They were smooth and strong.
They were by in a split second and we walked back with Dan to his tent. Anne sobbed. She is so funny and emotional. She was sooooooo proud of Lauren and so happy for her.
We left Dan and rode our bikes along the river. We stopped at a Brat stand and locked the bikes up. We took our Brats down by the river and sat and watched some of the racers. There is Rowing, which is what Lauren does on a team of 8. With rowing you use a single oar, using both hands on it. Lauren rows on the right side, so unfortunately you start building up all the muscles on the right side, even though you are using both hands, the right side is doing most the work.
Dan Skulls. That is using two oars. He does single sculling, although next year he might do it with a new fried and they will be a pair. There are also up to teams of 8.
After eating and watching for a bit we rode on.
We rode our bikes back to Anne's and settled in for a little TV. She and the girls are hooked on a series called "Outlander" I think it is in it's 4th or 5th season, but we watched 2 of the very beginning episodes from season 1 and then we watched the latest episode from the current season.
I also introduced her to the "Miss Fischer Mysteries" so we watched one or two of those.
The girls came home and we headed out for Sushi. It was fun. Anne took a couple pictures of the girls and I.
After dinner Bella and I drove on home. We watched a little more TV and then went to bed.
