Ed and Becky are animal lovers. They have two darling cocker spaniels; Banjo and Maxx and 4 kitties. I actually don't know their names. There is a long-haired gray cat; a short-hair gray cat; and Gray and black tiger cat and a tabby. The only one who comes up to me (and to Bella) is the long-haired gray. Banjo on the other hand loves me and wants to be in my lap all the time. He is very sweet but a little bit stinky. They are going to the groomers on Thursday. Both Banjo (the black one with silver ears) and Maxx, brown and white, have the cutest faces.
Ed and Becky invited us to go to church with them this morning. They have belonged to the same church, North Farrham Church forever. In fact, they were married in this church.
They especially wanted us to come this morning because it is Veteran's Day weekend and they are having a special service honoring and praying over the Veterans. It was very nice. They have a female minister who has a wonderful southern accent. They called us up in front of the congregation. Ed is also a Veteran. They called off names of members of the congregation who are away in the service and blessed us all. It was very touching. The whole service was nice and since I was raised Episcopalian, I was right at home with it. Rob's Grandparents are buried behind the church.
We went back to their house and watched football. Ed and Becky are loyal Steeler fans. Rob went in and watched with Ed. Ed is also helping Rob with a Family tree program that he introduced to Rob. They are TOTALLY into the history of their family and their surroundings.
We all had our DNA tested so Ancestor is compatible with this program. Anyway, Rob has been working with Ed on it.
Meanwhile I worked on the blog from our visit to Washington D.C. and visited with Becky. She is a big part of their Church community and committees and part of the Garden Club.
She shared history stories from the area, family etc.
Eventually we fixed dinner. Beef with spiced mustard spread on it wrapped around dill pickle. Very interesting and yummy.
We had a lovely dinner and evening before going to bed.
