I got up at 4:30 and had to turn on the generator so I could start the coffee. I tried to close off the bedroom so I could turn on lights without waking up Rob, but as soon as I turned on the generator it woke him up.
I showered, got dressed and finished packing. We left the rig at 5:30 via Uber. It took me three tries to get through the metal detecter. First, I have a new silver bracelet that I forget about. I took it off and tried again, but I have new boots and they have buckles. So I had to take them off. The third time I got through without setting off the metal detector, but then I was randomly selected for a security check. They took my cell phone and did something with it then gave it back to me and told me I was cleared to go. By that time Bella and I were both redressed and went to find Rob.
We made it to the plane and although the ticked told us the flight was over-sold with passengers waiting for seats, we were able to get one. We ended up in the very last row. We were in aisle seats across from each other. It was fine. I held Bella for most of the flight and Rob slept. It was a good flight. At the end Rob was chatting with the Flight Attendant. She was upset that we didn't introduce ourselves to her as part of the Airline Family. Rob was like, oh, it's OK.
The nice thing about going from the west coast to the east coast is that it is three hours later so if you are tired you get to go to bed sooner.
It was 1:30 when we landed and about 4:30 when we finally got to the rig. It was still there and everything seemed to be ok. I slept on the drive home, but still felt pretty wiped out.
Rob went off to the gym after unpacking his bag.
I unpacked and when he got back we took Bella for a little walk, then had some dinner, watched TV and went to bed.
