It is definitely fall now. There is a chill in the air and we were forced to wear long pants and sweatshirts. I like it.
We took the car to Lexus and explained to them that it had just been serviced and that the Oil light was on. They said they would check it out and check a bunch of other stuff as well and they gave us a loaner.
On the way to Lexus we dropped off the clothing I was giving away and then stopped in at Wilson Farm. When I went there over the weekend I had tasted a Cauliflower salad they made and I had picked up the recipe for it. I wanted to make it for dinner this evening and had everything except the dressing so wanted to stop in and get it. While I was there I picked up some apples for Rob and they had a darling flower arrangement in a pumpkin that I decided to get for Anne. As I got to the car I realized how dumb it was to get the flower arrangement now since we were on our way to the Lexus dealer. Oh Well.
After we dropped off my car and picked up the loaner we headed off to Costco. It is always fun to go there. Especially, when they have all their tastings going on. You could have lunch just tasting their items. We did our shopping and then headed off again.
From Costco we went to Walgreens and got our flu shots. As Veterans we can get the shots free at Walgreens. Of course with our insurance we get them free anyway. But anyway, it is good that we got the shots and are hopefully protected for the season.
We went home and put everything away. We chilled for a little bit and then decided to head over to Anne's. We are having dinner with them tonight. It is our last night in Boston before moving on. They will all be home so we will have dinner with them. It will be a late dinner, but Anne said we could certainly come by early and hang with her.
We hadn't heard anything from Lexus yet, but the dealership is closer to Anne then it is to us so we figured we would just go to her.
We packed up all the items we needed to share dinner with them and then headed back to Wilson's Farm. I wanted to pick up a squash pie. It is really good. Actually, it tastes a lot like pumpkin pie. Anyway, I got one and some whipped cream and we headed over.
Just as we were getting there, at 4 pm, Lexus called and said my Engine Oil Level Sensor was bad and needed to be replaced and they would get the part at noon tomorrow. I explained to him that we needed to move on tomorrow with a long drive and he said they would make it a priority as soon as they got the part. So I said ok.
We had a lovely visit with Anne and the girls and with Dan. We had a yummy dinner and they all really liked the Cauliflower salad and of course the squash pie. They were a little skeptical of both at first bite, but had seconds of each.
We sadly said our good byes after dinner and visits. It has been a fun 2 weeks hanging out with them.
We drove on back home and went to bed.
