Tuesday, 31 October HAPPY HOLLOWEEN

Rob went off to go get propane, return a movie and fill the truck up with diesel.  While he was out he took these pictures of the West Point campus.

When he got back we took Bella out for a nice long walk.  We went on a new path and climbed up on big rocks and let her chase squirrels.  We wanted her to get tired out.  I think she did.
We took her back to the Rig, gave her food and water and we left.  We drove to Edgewater, NJ.  It is across the river from New York, so we had to get a picture of it.
We went to a place called SOJO Spa Club.  It is similar to the Spa Castle that Colleen, Laura and a group of Laura's friends went to for her Bachelorette party a couple years ago in Queens.
This is 5 floors of various spa related services. Half of the 4th floor is a big pool with various jet spots.  You nestle in, push the button and the jets get you.  There is a section where the water shoots down on your shoulders.  An area where it gets the bottoms of your feet and backs of your calves.  Another where is gets your upper and lower back.  The backs of your thighs is another and one that gets your butt.  Then there is a foot massage bath.  It is a long narrow foot deep pool that you walk through over various size rocks that massage the bottoms of your feet as you go.
On the other side of the 4th floor are various pools.  One is cold water, one is called a silk bath.  There was something in the water or in the stone that made the water silky and milky; another was Hinoki and it was wood lined that had some sort of detoxing effect. Another was a nice hot carbon-rich bath.  There was a waterfall lounge where you could sit and let the water fall all over you, but the water was cold.
On the 5th floor were different saunas.  Red clay, white clay, salt, Ice, charcoal and far-infrared.  The 6th floor were restaurants, the 7th and 8th were infinity pool looking out over the city, outdoor grill and a rooftop garden.  It was a cloudy, misty day with a wind, so the rooftop stuff was really out of the question for us.  We started with the big hydrotherapy pool with all the jet stations and then went into the various other pools where each one was a little warmer than the last.
We each got a deep tissue massage and a salt and oil scrub.  They were awesome.  We arrived at the spa at noon and left at 6:30.  It was awesome.
We got back to the Rig and had to do some serious making up to poor little Bella who had been left alone all day.  She was very, very happy to see us.
