At first I thought maybe I would go up to Kennebunkport, but I realized it was in Maine and wasn't sure I was supposed to take the car out of state. Then I thought about going to Salem because it is a lot of fun to visit in October when there are witches everywhere. In hind site i should have gone there, but in the end I went to Gloucester. Mom and I went there on our New England trip several years ago. It is such an authentic fishing village. Although, ever since the movie "The Perfect Storm" it has become more touristy.
We stopped in at the Visitor Center, which has been closed for the season. There was a park there so Bella and I wandered around.
The park is along the water, so that was nice. It was really foggy and misty. To me it seemed exactly what a New England Fishing town would be like this time of year.
We drove into town and found a place to park so that we could wander around. It is a really pretty little town. They have a beautiful City Hall.

Of course they have beautiful old churches.
Then we went to the Gloucester House for lunch. Mom and I also ate here.
I had a nice lunch and enjoyed a lobster roll and a couple glasses of wine. I had no place else to go actually. It was not busy so they didn't mind that I hung around for awhile.
| While I was at the restaurant I watched them unload fish from this boat. The entire time I was there they unloaded. |
From there Bella and I drove back home. Lexus called about 5 pm and told me my car was ready. I told them I'd pick it up in the morning.
Meanwhile, Rob is on a trip. He had a layover in Minneapolis and so went to visit his cousin Sylvia and her husband Eric. Sylvia is the daughter of Sengchen and Tom. He had a nice visit. And... Congratulations,....Sylvia is pregnant with her first child.
Rob had a really nice visit with them.
Back at the Rig, Bella and I watched TV and then went to bed.
